🚀 Getting Started With Your New Trezor

(without needing to click any unsafe links)

1️⃣ Confirm You Are on the Official Trezor Website

To set up your Trezor, always type the official address manually into your browser.
Do not use links sent to you—crypto wallet phishing sites are very common.

👉 Type this carefully into your address bar:
trezor.io/start
(Do not click it—type it manually.)

2️⃣ Download the Official Trezor Suite

Once on the official site:

  • Download Trezor Suite for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
  • Install and open the app.

This is the only safe software to manage your Trezor.

3️⃣ Connect Your New Trezor Device

  • Plug in the device using the provided cable.
  • Trezor Suite will detect it automatically.

4️⃣ Install Firmware (if prompted)

New Trezor devices ship without firmware for security reasons.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the official firmware.
  • Never install firmware from any other source.

5️⃣ Create a New Wallet

  • Choose “Create new wallet.”
  • Trezor will display your Recovery Seed (12, 18, or 24 words).

🔐 VERY IMPORTANT:

  • Write the seed down on paper (do NOT take a photo or store it digitally).
  • Store it in a secure, offline location.
  • Anyone with your seed can access all your crypto.

6️⃣ Set a PIN

You’ll be asked to set a secure PIN.
This protects your device if it’s lost or stolen.

7️⃣ Add Crypto Accounts

Inside Trezor Suite, you can add accounts for:

  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • Litecoin
  • and many others

8️⃣ Send or Receive Crypto

Your Trezor is now ready to use:

  • Click Receive to get your wallet address.
  • Click Send to send crypto (you’ll need your Trezor plugged in to confirm).

⚠️ Security Reminders

  • Never enter your recovery seed on a website or computer—only on the Trezor device itself.
  • Trezor will never ask for your seed via email or pop-ups.
  • Keep your device firmware updated through Trezor Suite only.
